The Collage and Ink project takes you on a vibrant journey through the Nineties in Leeds, a time defined by its unique cultural quirks, distinctive character, and the aroma of meat and potato pie filling the air every Friday night. From the iconic Leeds accent resonating through the bustling streets to the lively music scene that echoed from venues like The Cockpit and The Warehouse, the city was alive with energy and a strong sense of identity. Baggy jeans, bucket hats, and Adidas trainers were the fashion statement of choice, while the lively nightlife of Call Lane and Brudenell Social Club drew crowds seeking memorable experiences. Leeds Rhinos' triumphs on the rugby field and the boisterous chants at Elland Road during Leeds United's prime were the heartbeat of the city, fuelling a deep pride and camaraderie among its residents. This project encapsulates the spirit of those times, celebrating the vibrant tapestry of Leeds in the Nineties, capturing the nostalgia, humour, unmistakable charm, and the cherished tradition of meat and potato pie that defined life in the city.
